In 2000, a group of Catholic families decided to form a faith-based private school for their children. There was not a single private Catholic school in all of New Brunswick at the time, and even now Divine Mercy is only one of two in the province.

Stewardship on school's curriculum

{mosimage}TORONTO - Grade 12 religion students at Neil McNeil Catholic High School will get a taste of stewardship this year with a curriculum designed to get them outside the classroom.
Instead of sticking to the usual textbook curriculum, teacher Linton Soares has started following the 鈥� 鈥� curriculum, something he developed with the help of ShareLife and the , to make learning more hands-on through guest presentations and field trips to different centres with service opportunities. Pope e-mails 30,000 from WYD
By Catholic Register Staff{mosimage}Pope Benedict XVI sent an e-mail to more than 30,000 people registered with the World Youth Day (WYD) official networking site, inviting them to pray for the young people of France. The Pope was to visit France Sept. 12-15.
The web site, , was designed to help WYD pilgrims stay in touch through online discussions while also providing a means to search for Catholic events worldwide, post and share photos with other users. Anyone can sign up to the web site regardless of having attended WYD in Sydney, Australia, or not.
