Stella GeorgeƵapp secret is to leave worries in GodƵapp hands

Now living in Canada, Stella GeorgeƵapp friends and family have planned multiple parties to celebrate a milestone birthday of her own: George turned 100 earlier this month.
Space still available for sisters' housing

There are 17 spots left for the project being run by 40 Toronto-based women religious congregations that is expected to be ready for occupancy next spring.
New parish honours Sudanese saint

Family faith led Platt to priesthood

Edwin Platt had his connection with Corpus Christi parish come full circle when he was appointed interim administrator of the parish in TorontoƵapp Beach area. He was now running the parish that he had grown up in.
That was one of the highlights of PlattƵapp 60 years in the priesthood, which was celebrated June 8 at Corpus Christi Church. A Mass of celebration attended by Auxiliary Bishop Peter Hundt, current pastor Fr. Henry Menezes and his brother Fr. Phillip Wallace Platt, CSB, was celebrated and then about 400 friends and relatives joined in the parish hall to congratulate the 86-year old priest.
Martyrs' Shrine to host WYD events

Poland recognizes Toronto priest for efforts during fall of communists

Antoni Mendrela collaborated with other church and government officials in Canada to help out beleaguered Poles in two ways — by raising money to fund the Catholic University of Lublin, and getting Canadian parishes to sponsor emigrating Poles.
For this, he was awarded PolandƵapp OfficerƵapp Cross for Service. The award was presented to Mendrela in the name of Polish President Lech Kaczynskiat at the Catholic University of Lublin in January.
