TORONTO - Emily VanBerkum believes the 鈥渋nterdisciplinary鈥� aspects of her Catholic liberal arts education have made her a well-rounded student.

New homes for Edmonton's Newman Theological College and St. Joseph鱿鱼视频app Seminary

The Edmonton archdiocese has a new state-of-the-art college in Newman Theological College, pictured, and St. Joseph鱿鱼视频app Seminary. It was trying for the two schools while construction was being completed, but it was worth the aggravation.

The Newman Theological College and St. Joseph鱿鱼视频app Seminary communities in Edmonton are glad to be back in the same fold.

To make way for the Anthony Henday Highway, the college and seminary were forced to uproot and build a new home. They have since moved to new state-of-the-art facilities on the Pastoral Centre grounds, the seminary moving into its new home in August 2010, while classes at the college started in January 2011.

鈥淎nd it鱿鱼视频app very good to be back together again,鈥� said Fr. Shayne Craig, rector of St. Joseph鱿鱼视频app Seminary and president of Newman Theological College.

The future is now for pipe organ at St. Joseph鱿鱼视频app Seminary

EDMONTON - When it came time to build the new St. Joseph鱿鱼视频app Seminary, cutting expenses was a must. To save money, a pipe organ for the seminary chapel was left as a project for the future.

鈥淲e priced out how much an organ would be, and it鱿鱼视频app a lot of money,鈥� said Fr. Shayne Craig, seminary rector.

鈥淔or a new pipe organ, for the size we would want in the chapel, we were being quoted a price of $500,000.鈥�
