The 600 young adults attending Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO)������Ƶapp 2024 Rise Up conference in Calgary from Dec. 29 to Jan. 1 will be implored to “take courage” and navigate the secularized world as bold disciples of Jesus Christ.

It would be impossible to encompass all the ways a Catholic woman could live purposefully in 2020. However, one virtual workshop explained some of the core elements in a six-session thought-provoking series of online talks and seminars. 

“How did you do it? How did you raise kids who are passionate about their faith and have the heart of a missionary?”

Computer screens and Zoom calls have become the new operation zone for the university student missionary organization Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO).

Each year in Kingston, we have the honour of hosting our annual St. John Fisher Dinner, a fundraiser which supports the mission of Catholic Christian Outreach at Queen������Ƶapp University. We invite a distinguished speaker and have been blessed to highlight places where the Church is under persecution.

The reach of Catholic Christian Outreach is now reaching even further.

Anniversaries of importance for the universal Church have abounded this year — 500 years since the Reformation, 100 years since Fatima, 25 years since the Catechism of the Catholic Church. For me though, two more modest anniversaries — 10 years — were celebrated this past fortnight.
