Sania Ahmed is one of the artists featured in the show. Though she doesn鈥檛 live at 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别 she comes regularly to the Richmond Hill community to paint and draw at the 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别 craft studio. Her favourite subjects come from nature and she loves to juxtapose colours to discover how they make her feel.
The gallery show is important to Ahmed because it鱿鱼视频app an opportunity for people to see what she does.
鈥淏ecause I make them,鈥 she said.
It鱿鱼视频app a chance for people to 鈥渟ee beyond the disability and see the artist there,鈥 said Halferty.
Though the paintings will be on the walls at beginning of the month, a reception for the artists will take place Tuesday, April 10, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the theatre lobby, 10268 Yonge Street in downtown Richmond Hill.
The art exhibition sets the table for a With Our Hands gala and show at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts Tuesday, May 8, 7:30 p.m.
The gala will feature creativity from 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别鱿鱼视频app Sprit Movers dance troupe, items made at 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别鱿鱼视频app Woodery and theatre from the 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别-based Movers and Shakers company.

Halferty is part of the team at 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别 Daybreak putting on With Our Own Hands, an art exhibition featuring the work of 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别 core members and other artists who participate in 尝鈥橝谤肠丑别 day programs.
